At SW Productions, we hold a deep passion for our oceans and we understand the importance they hold in sustaining life on Earth. On this World Oceans Day, we reflect on our own journey, which began with Tom, a young filmmaker captivated by the power and beauty of the ocean.
Tom’s Ocean Journey:
Our co-founder Tom, discovered his love for filming while documenting the captivating shore break in Sandy Beach, Hawaii, where he spent his younger years. The relentless crashing of waves against the shoreline, coupled with the pristine sandy beaches, awakened a creative spark within Tom. As he captured those moments on film, he realised the immense potential of visual storytelling to convey the ocean’s beauty and power.
From that pivotal point, Tom’s passion for the ocean and videography grew. His desire to share the awe-inspiring beauty of the ocean waves led him to pursue his love for film resulting in becoming 1 half of SW Productions, a company dedicated to creating compelling visual narratives that inspire and educate viewers on social and environmental issues and the wonders of the world’s oceans.
Protecting Our Oceans:
At SW Productions, we understand that loving the ocean goes beyond capturing its magnificence on camera. We are committed to protecting and preserving the oceans we hold dear. In our pursuit of environmental responsibility, we are proud to collaborate with Surfers Against Sewage, an organisation that shares our mission of ocean conservation.
Together with Surfers Against Sewage, we actively participate in initiatives aimed at tackling the global issue of ocean pollution. Through our films and storytelling, we aim to raise awareness about the impact of pollution, climate change, and teach the next generation how to keep our seas healthy. By amplifying the voices of ocean advocates and showcasing the solutions available, we strive to inspire positive change and empower others to take action.
